2011年，对我来说，是非常年。
这一年，以前想做而没做过的，几乎都做过了：
第一次独自搭空行到东马；
第一次跟朋友到云顶，进赌场；
第一次南下柔佛、东去关丹；
第一次骑脚踏车到10公里外的湖边扎营；
第一次到上閤屋吃自助餐；
第一次走游古城、怡保游；
第一次半夜驾车到怡保的Station One；
第一次国庆日游行，还获第一名；
重回安新华小首次当班级任；
玩到破产，心情低落，
甚至还信主了，
还有很多很多（多到不记得了）。
这一年也是拍过最多照片的一年，
全都已上载至面书，自己找来看。
我很喜欢这一年！2011年太精彩了！

A Month as A Christian

It's an awesomous gift.
It's a special opportunity!
All the years in my living time,
every day and night,
I had been blessed by God,
even before I accept Christ.
I always believe in God. Truly.
But I found no way to get close with God,
I found no way to fix my problem, my sins.
Until one day,
God came to me,
suddenly and unpredictably,
to enlighten me,
pointed me to the right Way,
and introed His Son to me,
and taught me how to read Bible.

It has been a month since I accept Christ, but my first contact with Christ was during my first time to attend chapel at church when I was form 3. The Bible, I didn't really know what was it for and how to read it, it was just like a dictionary. But I had never forget the first verse of the first chapter of the first book of the Old Testament: "In the beginning, God created the Heaven and the Earth."

Many years later, I did enjoy my pre-U and campus life very happily, until the day when I was broke. Yes, I was broke! During the bankruptcy, I saw many true side of many things and people, some are good, some are bad. The truths revealed had disappoint me and I find no way to get rid of that things. I couldn't accept that facts, which made me feel I was spiritually abandoned. Few days later, in a quiet place where I used to rest and do my personal things, something strong and unique had come into my mind, it's a very unusual idea - to consider to be a Christian. That was really amazing, that was something I never dare to think in pass 22 years.

On Christmas Eve, I went to a Chinese Methodist Church to celebrate Christmas Eve, and that moment, I was so happy and feeling I was so close with God. Finally, on the Christmas day, I prayed and officially to be a Christian. In the days after I was receiving Salvation from Lord Jesus Christ, I felt I was so blessed. I read Bible every day, the God's word were so inspiring, I love it!

Some of my friends are already know, and some of them are really happy that they got a new brother. For now, I just need acknowledgement from my family, and that's hard...

Thank you Lord, for your salvation, for your blessing, for your love and grace. Nothing else I could blame since these days I am so blessed and all things all went very smooth and well. My only hope is to get acknowledgement of my family for my belief. I hope they all will understand, that what I believe is Truth. Lastly, please forgive me for the sins I ever commited, that I have repent. I pray this in Jesus' name.

What's Wrong with the Security Guards at Our Hostels?

THIS ARTICLE IS WRITTEN FOR ALL SECURITY GUARDS!

First, I would like to explain the responsibility of being a security guard. Security guard, is a personnel who is hired to protect his employer, or to protect any assigned people or a place, or public, more like an acting police officer, for any security reason.

I don’t know since when, security guards become the people who are hired to catch the hostel residences instead of protecting them. They catch and summons the students who are wearing shorts, who didn’t bring their student cards, and so on. A funny incidents happened yesterday, a friend of my friend was suffering of breathe difficulties, so she and her friends sent her to the hospital immediately. Before I continue, I would like to emphasize again, it was traumatic and so it was necessary to send the casualty to the hospital immediately. Since it was urgent, do them have time to change attires and then sent her ‘late’r? But, the security guard asked my friend why wear ‘like that’ (short pants with singlet)? Before he asked, I wonder was he use his brain to think? or he has no brain.

Hey! did any act or rules are stated in our federal constitution and the law that no short pants are allowed? In what reason that the hostel set the rule that both male and female are not allowed to wear short pants? In security reason? Discipline? Culture? Religion? Who said a student wearing short pants is not discipline? Who said wearing short pants is not our culture? Who said wearing short pants is banned of religion? Definitely NO! If some culture or religion disallowed that, ok fine, they should follow their way, but why we need to follow too? If they expect us to respect their culture, why don’t they respect our culture? Oh, is it because their population is more than us, and we are minority? Or is it their culture is better? Ridiculous!

Items are stolen, girls were sexually harassed or even raped, in the campus or hostel, before and while these incidents happened, what did the security guards done? Moreover, sometime these cases were done by the security guards themselves! This was so terrible. Besides, we always heard that the security guards in other university had illegally confiscate students properties, and simply accuse the innocents. So, these are the responsibilities of the security guards?

SO, security guards! Please don’t be act too over. Please know your rights, jobs and responsibilities. These people shall not be compromised if they did out of their rights!

Know yourself

No one is perfect, including me. Therefore, I dislike others who assume themselves are perfect, assume themselves are always right and assume themselves are boss.

Recently, I was annoyed by someone, because he just like to act as perfect guy. I know that I’m not perfect, or literally not good in a lot of matters. Then, being advised is right, but I don like to be “advised” which I think I was being ‘scolded’ or “critic” is more proper word for that.

Excuse me, please know yourself before “advices” anyone, you are not a leader, not a brother, not a guardian, not a lecturer, not a senior, not a supervisor, not a boss…

As a friend, advising someone to correct from mistakes is encouraged, if necessary, but please advise in a proper way which is fit with the position, but not scolding or critics, like our parents or teachers. Friends must respect each other.

Second thing, since you are not a leader, not a brother, not a guardian, not a lecturer, not a senior, not a supervisor, not a boss… , please don’t act like a leader, brother, guardian, lecturer, senior, supervisor or a boss…, and control someone, “asking” someone to obey your order, follow your way… The reason is pretty simple, you are not qualify. Every one has freedom and respective way of life, a positive way of life.

Third, don’t always think you’re right, and don’t think others who oppose your position are wrong. You’re not a judge nor genius, if truths are yet to be decided, please proof before saying right or wrong.

If you made people not happy with you advise, meaning that you are failed in how to educate people, how you going to be an educator? Not every one, including your juniors or anyone under you supervisory can accept the kind of dictator-like supervisory or strict orders. Otherwise, your advises will jeopardize the situations.

Please, know yourself before you act as a perfect guy or boss.

Should the schools conceal the criminal cases?

Recently, there are a rape case and a girl missing incident happened in my school. But, such the serious matters did not exposed to any media and even to the students in the school. The victims are students, and this should be get known by everyone especially the female students, because this matter is regarded to the personnel and students’ safety.

These cases are concealed is due to the reputation of the school. This’ only happened in my school but every school in this nation. How they resolve these matters? Yes, they do report to the officers, but not to medias, and they offer assurance that the victims will graduate with first class honour or offer other benefits, to comfort the victims, to ensure the incidents is concealed and the school’s reputation is maintained.

Since this matter will be covered, so no one is clear about that. This may cause the students or personnel in the school is lack of awareness to the endangered situation in school. This is not good!

Programming and me

I love computer, I love internet. They give me a lot of entertainment, help me, connect me to the world, and even taught me to become an expert. Therefore, I started to learn programming, programming is a way to interact one self to the machine.

To interact with the computer, we need to know their language, there only understand 10101001010101010101010010101, while we only know our human languages. However, the interpreter can help us to translate and talk with the machine. Although interpreter understand human language and computer language, but they doesn’t understand in our way, instead they understand languages like C, C++, BASIC, Java, C#… the logical+mathematical+English language.

To learn a computer programming language isn’t easy, therefore I never want learn it until my Syn Wei learn it. She learnt C++ in her need to pass her course. This encouraged me to learn programming. However, few week later, I lost my intention too learn it. In May 2010, my friend Chong Yang, he won the competition of Code for Windows 7 and Microsoft Imagine Cup Malaysia 2010 by creating WPF applications using C# in Visual Studio and Expression Blend. He inspired me and provided me the courage and information on doing these, so I quickly download and explore Visual Studio 2010, Expression Blend 3, tutorials and videos.

I’m still in the progress of learning C# and C++. I hope I able to master them and create a software which can satisfy me and my friends. If can, I hope I can take part the competition as well. Since I have no any other advantage and skills while eligible to compete with other…

Internet and me

Computer is part of my life, and Internet is part of computer’s life, hence Internet is part of my life too.

I started to use Internet in year 2000, a millennium year while the Internet age was still young. I subscribed TMnet, a 56K dialup Internet Service 2 months after I own my first computer. That time, I still know no anything about Internet. The only websites that I familiar are like Yahoo, MSN, TMnet Portal, Microsoft.com, Sinchew-I, that’s all. I don’t even know what is search engine. Therefore, I just referring to the newspaper or magazine and look for the web address, and visit.

I forgot since when I started to utilize the search engine, I think is since the need of finding online java and shockwave games. I like to play games, and Internet is the direct source of the games. Later then I know the use of the search engine. The first web search engine that I use is Yahoo, so I set it as my homepage.

That time, the web contents did not as rich as today’s web content. Today’s web contents are full of graphics, animation, interactive contents, social network, and videos, while the web content is the early years are online words, low quality images, simple GIF animation, that’s all. This is because the Internet speed on that time was slow, and every second it loads is accumulated in the telephone bill.

Since I have a slow dialup connection, therefore, I changed my default search engine and homepage into Google. Google is a simple and clean web search engine and speed up my web browser startup time. But, the most important is the relevance of the search result is high, so I like it.

Few years before the Blogger was become popular, not everyone could able to have a website which can write, post and share information and photos easily. However, since I bought a reference book “Learn Internet Within 24 Hours”, I learnt to build my first website, using Yahoo Geocities (Geocities had already close). I posted my photos, and write some info about me. I learnt HTML coding too, using Notepad.

Dialup Internet charges every second of online connection, therefore I seldom online. About once a week only.However, most of my computer knowledge is come from Internet. Before I have broadband, I usually stay in my secondary school just to online and download software, songs, videos,etc. Until the year 2009, my parents finally understand the need of faster Internet connectivity, so final subscribed the Streamyx broadband service.

Since the first day I online, I downloaded thousands of software, hundreds of songs, read uncountable pages of web articles, and these greatly improve my knowledge. I was addicted to Internet too. Now, if there is no Internet, computer will seems useless to me.

Computer and me

Computer had been part of my life since the day I own my first custom assembled Intel Celeron 466 desktop PC, a birthday gift of my 11th birthday. This thing had change my life totally.

Before I own a PC, I was taught to operate a computer when I was 5. The very first computer that I used to learn is my uncle’s notebook computer, using the Microsoft Windows 3.11. I learn how to on and off the computer, play the Paintbrush and Solitaire. The old notebook computer did not have a touchpad, instead there is a trackball at the lower right of the notebook, and the mouse button 1 is on the right panel near the trackball. That notebook is bulky and heavy, but it was a very sophisticated and a high tech device which can only owned by businessmen and rich guys.

Later, I joined a computer tuition class in my primary school when I was 7. Learnt to use a old computer which are powered by Intel i486, and DOS. Monochrome monitor, no mouse nor pointing device, two 5.25inch floppy disk drive… that was the computer that I used to learnt. That time, I learnt a drawing software, the Picture Maker. However, how to draw without a mouse? It was sound funny, we learnt to draw using a keyboard. That time, I was found that I have interest and talent in computer operation, because I could learn faster and know more than any others.

I love to read the flyers, news and advertisements of the computer products. I had even collect them. No choice, I love anything related to computer, I wish to own a computer. I was addicted to computer. Like others, I love computer because I can play game and drawing by it, clicking the icons see what will appear or happen.

My first computer is a great machine. Running clockspeed at 466MHz, 64MB SDRAM,10GB HDD, 15” CRT, CD-ROM, mouse and keyboard, running Microsoft Windows 98. It was an economic and ‘OK’ specs on that time, able to do Office 97, Photoshop 4, play Star Craft, CS… The year I own a desktop computer is the early age of Internet in Malaysia. I subscribed a 56K TMnet and this changed my life too. How Internet changed my life will be described in the next post.

In the years I use my computer, I experienced uncountable times of the technical problems. Since I was novice, I had no choice to send it to the shop and spend hundred bucks to fix it. Due to this reason, I started to learn to fix it on my own. And I always share my problem with my friends who more pro in this. When I was form 5, I joined IT brigade in my secondary school, a newly established school uniform body which in charge of the IT labs. I learnt a lot from there.

Till today, I learnt various situation and to apply solution, to maintain the performance and to enhance the computer. Thanks to the spoiled computers, my friends, and my computer. These encouraged me to learn and work more in computer maintenance, and given me opportunities to help others when they need, and to improve my knowledge.

Now, besides of learning computer maintenance, I started to learn programming too. The reason that I want to learn programming will be explained in next post.

About 4 months my blog never been touched. So, today I was so excited to visit and update my blog because I have nothing to do in pass few months (yeah, few months, about 2 months++), and there were lots of events happened, went to lots of places, etc. Since Facebook is much easier, faster and more efficient and more socialised, so I just like post walls and photos frequently there. However, I found that I can’t write essay on the Facebook wall, so I can’t express my feeling and experiences in detail, therefore I return to my blog, a web social publication which I had been using it before I active on Facebook.

-Went to Vivian’s house with Form 6 Wesley+Peach friends, the Mines (we met Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew, boss of the Mines, we take water taxi),play badminton and Broga Hill twice(one with Vivian+friends, one with Zhi Hao+friends) We stay overnight in MBS Air Scout den and watch Prince of Persia at Times Square before we go to Broga Hill. The scene there really beautiful.

-During the holiday, Chong Yang who won the champion of Microsoft Imagine Cup inspired me to learn programming. Will tell in detail in the next post.
-Build and play LEGO Mindstorm NXT1.0 Robot with Soon Cheng @ SJK( C ) Kg. Baru Ampang.

My holidays seem interesting, but i only spend 10% of mid-term holiday on my fun time… 90% online at home.

And now, I already went back to my hostel, promote SUKSIS, moving tons of stuffs from store room from level 3 to level 2, clean room with Kheng Lim, online, eat roti, maggi, alone…

非常的生气！

星期四晚上 SUKSIS 有role call， En. Norel，我们的 SM 要我们在星期六前把头发剪3cm或更短的头发。我拜五晚就给 Shamsuri 剪咯，已经很短了。星期日 SUKSIS class 时，Tuan Saiduri 突然进来。骂我们见到他没给他进礼，说我们没discipline, 说我们头发长。他见到我头发短，就叫我站出来，在建几个同学出去。没想到，他见到别人的头发比我更短，就说我头发不够短，”Ini tak boleh, potong lagi!” 我听到后真的很不爽。我更警察的 SM 投诉，他说那人是 Tuan ，一定得照他的意思做。

2cm的头发=长发。我真的不懂“短”的定义是什么……

今天一点多时，我和庆霖和文强到pekan吃午餐。我就把我的手机拿去那里维修。负责帮我修理的人，他答应5点弄好。我8点去pekan拿我手机竟然还没好。他叫他的伙计快点快点，过后他在我站着等了半小时后，才在我面前修理，5分钟罢了。你说气吗？

舅舅的婚礼^^

昨天上午去Kor SUKSIS 量衣后，就坐车回去和丰的外婆家参加舅舅的婚礼。阿姨们、舅舅们、表妹表弟们都已到了。他们都长大了，样子都认不得了。晚上，我们全部都到附近的酒楼，跟新郎新娘一起共进丰富的晚餐。

今天就是接新娘。当我舅舅想进房间新娘时，当然是要过关咯。由于太多人围着，我就错过了那一幕。终于进到房了，新郎新娘交换戒指，亲吻… ^^ 拜天地，拜祖先，向女方家属长辈敬酒后，就接新娘回家了。

到了我外婆家，也一样，就是拜神，拜祖先，向男方家属长辈敬酒和拿红包。过后就是我们后辈的向新郎新娘拿红包。之后，就是新郎新娘进房。过后，他们换好衣后，就和我们一起吃午餐。午餐后，我就回来吉隆坡了。

中秋晚会@姵妏家

Majlis Angkat Sumpah 和 SUKSIS 活动结束后，我就到巴士站等巴士时遇到颂安、德福、Stella 他们。我也跟他们回 Kolej Za'ba 一起准备然后在晚上去姵妏家。

那晚我们KZ男生和KAB女生先到Campus的巴士站等姵妏来接我们。同时也等着KZ和KHAR的女生。在等着时，姵妏驾着van车来接女生到她家，然后等到九点钟前，姵妏的弟弟才来接我们。

姵妏家离campus不远，而且是一个华人新村。到她家前经过不少正在庆祝中秋的家户，看见小孩们在提着灯笼，点蜡烛，嬉戏…我心里有着一种好久都没感受的感觉。

到了姵妏家，见到她家门前摆了很多食物，我同学都已在那儿开动许久。然后，也看到Sharon和姵妏的表弟正在点灯笼和蜡烛。我吃一点食物后，就迫不及待跟Sharon要来几根蜡烛，在家四周点蜡烛。当然这时，我们吃饱后就一起拍照。大家都露出灿烂的笑容，乐开怀。当然，我也没忘记致电给在东马没得回家庆中秋的薇薇。

在那，有一人我值得一提的是姵妏的表弟。他只有7岁，很很很可爱的！他很粘我，原因是--因为我瘦。-.-" 然后他见到我的T恤的标志就知道我是警察。他还叫我捉我的同学，哈哈！他也很喜欢被人饱起，但我抱不起他，哈哈！姵妏有问他，她说这位小弟弟很喜欢我，然后我也问那弟弟喜欢哪个姐姐，他说他喜欢艳红叻，很会选人哦。他喜欢的都是俊男美女哦，哈哈！（我不是啦，但艳红是真的靓女，LOL）

当然，这一天不只是庆中秋那么简单，因为在这一天就有人生日。生日星是啊莫（不是Ahmad，是莫信礼）哈哈。最感人的，当然是假装生他两天气的慧玲送他一分LOVE型的礼物。其实这是慧玲精心策划的生日庆祝。他们俩也正式承认他们的关系了，嘿嘿。那天真是充满爱的中秋夜晚。

回前，我们还玩"Follow the King” 游戏。就是有24人玩，每人抽1至23的号码或K。谁拿到 K 就当King，就可以指定那个号码的人做任何事（儿童可以接受的事啦）。有扮钢管男郎啦，扮鬼脸啦，唱歌啦等。我当了一次的King，而且是那小弟弟抽到的。他要求两人唱歌，唱《朋友》。不错不错。正泰最可怜，被叫到三次，哈哈！

那晚我真的很开心，我从来没跟那么多好朋友一起在朋友家庆中秋。同时也是第一次没跟家人庆祝。那晚的月亮也显得比较大，比较圆。此时，我也想到我过去的同学、朋友。虽然我们都身在异处，但举头望月时，都会感受到在一起快乐的感觉，毕竟我们都能看见同一粒月球。

Majlis Angkat Sumpah SUKSIS 2009

Last Saturday (3/10/09) was our Majlis Angkat Sumpah for SUKSIS(aka Police Volunteer Reserve), an event where we cross over to become a true member of Kor Sukarelawan Siswa Siswi PDRM, UPSI.

So, we all wear the full police uniform for the first time in the morning. Funny incident is, we all Chinese boys, 7 Malay members, and ALL junior SUKSIS girls were late. HaHa! Therefore, in the first day we wear uniform, we all being punished push up 20 times.

After the assembly, we all enter into the Dewan Kuliah for preparation. It’s raining outside, we all stuck at the Pejabat Kor SUKSIS, so we all run to cross the road in the heavy rain, it’s fun! While we waiting in the hall, we all take photos .

I, a boy and 2 girls were selected to represent members to sign and to get the sign from the officer at the Borang perlantikan. During the rehearsal, I did mistakes and make everyone laugh, and this make me more nervous. However, in the true function, I did pretty well. Phew…

That day, lots of officers attended the function, they are our Timbalan Komandan SUKSIS SAC/KS Prof., Ajutan DSP/KS Tuan Najib, Penyelaras SUKSIS ASP Tuan Ayob, and Ketua Balai Polis Tanjung Malim.

After the function, normal training commenced, and it’s so tiring under the hot sun…

Rubic Cube… (SOLVED!)

Finally learnt to play rubic cube. LOL

1stly, I would like to thanks my Sifu- Mr. Tan Kheng Lim, my coursemate aka neighbour at hostel aka SUKSIS gang. He’s great and expert in this. He can solve 2x2, 3x3, and 4x4. Now he’s going to play 5x5. Haha!. And he can solve a 3x3 rubic cube at his fastest time, 50 sec.

I learnt from him for 3 days, and now i can solve myself. HeHe!

“e童回家”儿童佛学生活营

9月20日-22日，丹绒马林佛教会与慈心园联办“e童回家”儿童佛学生活营。此生活营在UPSI大学附近的佛宝林寺举行。我、文强、庆霖、汉杰、德福、志鸿、Sharon、Stella、思颖、慧玲等等都参与这此生活营和当主办筹委。我和Sharon负责摄影和送信，汉杰和Stella负责场地、其余的都当学员们的督导，也叫做“爸爸妈妈”。

我们星期六一早就开始打扫、准备场地和制作活动用具。Meeting 过后，督导们练唱“彼此一家”一歌。那晚，我们男生就睡在寺庙里的小木屋，晚上真的好冷哦！

第一天（星期日），我们6点半就起来吃早餐准备迎接营员们的到来。营员们都是来自附近的华小三至六年级的学生。孩子们的父母陪同他们进来，放下行李，量了耳温，拿了名卡后，就到大殿集合。我们把学员们分为8组，有：苹果之家、缘之家、真心之家、皮皮之家、熊猫之家、阳光之家、温暖之家。每组8至10人，兼有两位督导。接着，督导们就跟学员们交流。当然，有些学员还很害羞，坐在那儿静静的，有些则很多话说。

8点多，开营仪式开始。我是司仪之一。开营仪式只有简单的致词和“彼此一家”的大合唱，剪彩。那仪式非常简单及有意义。仪式过后，就是大家一起开始忙的时候。这一天的活动都很不错，大家都玩得很开心。之后还有佛学班，由开根师父主将。学员们都很喜欢师父的风趣幽默，也喜欢听师父说故事。

第二天（星期一）早上我们到Proton City的湖边野餐。那里的湖景真的很美丽。野餐前，我们一起做早操，野餐后，有实地写生。学员们和老师们所画的都不错，有美的，也有“很美的”。下午回来后，又有一系列的活动。而我就就跟显圣师父聊聊。

晚上还有感恩夜。这一刻，父母们都有来看看他们的孩子。其中一个环节，就是要请家长到前来坐，然后让学员们到前来拥抱父母，场面令人感动。

第三天（星期二）学员们动动手工，为无色的瓦扑满上色。过后的活动更好玩，就是让学员们masak-masak。每组都有准备了各自的菜色，有燕菜、水果沙拉、水果串、汤圆、三文治等等。真的好看又好美味！

下午，叙别会开始。我们都说出参与生活营的感想，同时感激同学们的帮忙。之后，我们播放照片影片，由于时间有限，只播一半而已。我和Sharon弄了一整个早上，无法播完，真的有点失望。过后，我们站排一圈，互换礼物，握手、拥抱。这时，学员们都哭了。我们不断的安慰他们。

毕营仪式开始了。仪式有放映影片、表演、颁奖、致词。学员们的表演都蛮“精彩”的。到了颁奖仪式，皮皮之家成了最佳组别，而最佳天才表演得住是真心之家。毕营仪式完后，各组再一次一起拍“全家福”。之后，家长们都带学员们回家了。当了三天的“爸爸妈妈”都舍不得他们那顽皮又可爱的“孩子们”。虽然学员们在这几天都给我们带了不少的麻烦，但也给了我们不少欢乐。

身为摄影师，虽然无法体验当“父母”的感觉，但透过相机的镜头，我看见了当父母的辛酸与用心，是一种无法以言语形容的感动心情，也许照片可以更生动地表达一切。

I study in UPSI, Tanjung Malim, Perak. But, I stay at Kolej Ungku Omar, Hulu Selangor, Selangor. However, the distance from my hostel to campus is about 1.5km. And I walk there at a slow speed about 15 minutes only.

On the way to the campus we’ll pass by a river, and that is the border between Selangor and Perak. Therefore, I took some photos there to show you all.

I went to KLCC last Sunday to visit the Chinese Book Fair. I went there from KHAR bus stop in the morning, alone. That book fair really disappointed me. The number of books available there is fewer and fewer compare to previous years.

I bought a book “PC maintenance”, a CD “Adya Classic”, and antique bank notes from Republic of China. My brother bought a “100 anniversary of scouting” (Hong Kong) stamps. So nice.. The promoter also recommend me to buy a bank note of Zimbabwe. 100000000000000 Zimbabwe Dollar = RM30, the bank note with largest number among all bank notes in the world.

Although the number of book there is not as much as I expected, but the books there are interesting, and affordable. I enjoy reading the books there.

Before I went back to my hostel by Putra LRT and bus, I took some photos of KLCC Twin Towers.

Last Sunday was a wonderful day, all SUKSIS juniors and some seniors went to Kuala Lumpur. Firstly, we visited the Police Museum at Lake Garden. Wow, that place is so nice, and also reminded me about my trip to this place while I was standard six. This museum consists of 3 galleries, showing the old uniforms of the Royal Police Force from the era of British Settlement. We also saw the weapons which being confiscated from the Malaya communist, and also the weapons which being used by police.

After the photo session, we went to the Headquarter of Kuala Lumpur Police Contingent at Jalan Hang Tuah. When we arrived, we saw a nice looking police car! What’s so special? It’s Lancer Evo! That was our first ever time to met the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo Police Car. We approached to the 15th floor of the building to visit the Control Centre aka Operation Center of Police. That place is confidential and strictly not allow to entered by anonymous included the unauthorized police officers. There has a big cinema like screen showing the map of Kuala Lumpur ( it’s just like the Google Map), tracking and direct the police cars which on duty. That place is also a information centre which allow them to access any confidential data libraries. Besides, all 999 emergency calls will be approach there too. And the most interesting part is, there can control observe the all 20 CCTVs in Kuala Lumpur.

After the ASP explained the function of the C4i system, we were allowed to use the “services” available in the centre. It’s an awesome moment for me and those having such opportunity.

After the visit of Headquarter, we stopped at the Independence Square, and given one hour to having free activities. So, we took photos of the Sultan Abdul Samad Building, then went to Burger King to have dinner. After the dinner, we went back to Tanjung Malim…

The Visit of Ketua Polis Perak @ Kolej Za’Ba

On 13 August, after the class in the morning, all members of SUKSIS went back KUO, then take bus to KZ to attend the Majlis Ramah Mesra dan Dialog with YB Dato’ Pahlawan Ketua Polis Perak. Wow, we all felt so proud and being excited while saw his badges at his shoulder, two stars, a crown and a pair of kris, this position is known as Deputy Commissioner Police (DCP), which qualify for Chief Police of a state. The others who accompanied him are high ranking policemen, they are ACP, SAP, SP, and ASP. SO, that day the KP gave speech and answered the questions from SUKSIS members. Later, we had a photo taking session. HaHa! I just standing behind the KP. Before he leave, we shake hand with the officers.

Later, I went to library to have a look, and then I entered into the Multimedia Lab 2. I saw many old friends, now they are Lower 6 students already! Time passes so fast…

Last year I failed to attend to the AGM due to a very sad incident, so now i see my juniors take over the administration of the board, I hope the new board can do better than before. I really do not want to see or hear any negative issues in future.

PC Fair @ KLCC

Last Friday, i went to visit the 2nd PC Fair at KLCC. Shella met me there, and accidentally met Tuck Fook there. So, we went there together.

As usual, lot of people there. I saw a lot of IT stuff and sexy promoters. Wow, the lenglui promoters wearing super short skirts (especially those promote online games and antivirus software). Many photographers took the photos.

Shella bought a Toshiba notebook computer and other peripherals. The price there are similar to Lowyat, so I’m not interested to buy anything from there.

That day, I just bought 2 things: Chinese writing pad and a cheese bread. haha!

Happy “Quarantined” Holiday !!!

Last night, about 1.30 am, the officer made a surprising announcement, that all students of UPSI will quarantined for avoiding H1N1 disease transmission. When they heard this news, they all shouting and cheering, because during the quarantine, we don’t have to attend any lecture and activities. However, we cannot go out too.

And yesterday noon, the officer made another surprising announcement, that all students of UPSI are recommended to leave and go home. All cheering and busy packing, ready to go home, me too. We will having 12 days holiday, and the next break will be replaced.

UPSI found that few students were suspected of getting H1N1.

Therefore, the management did the immediate action and precaution student are safe.

Moved to KUO

Last Sunday morning, me, Kheng Lim, Mun Keong, Haw Teck and Chee Hong moved to our new hostel--- Kolej Ungku Omar. We had to move there because we joined SUKSIS.

My first impression of KUO---VERY DIRTY!

OMG, there’s so dirty and messy. I asked myself, ”Am I going to stay such place for 3 years?” We will stay at 3 floor of KUO. When I entered my room, @$%^#$%!, my bed is spoilt.

After we did the cleaning, Ei! NOT BAD WO! My apartment became so tidy, and clean, better than my apartment at Kolej Za’Ba. My unit has the best view of all units, the windows are facing out to the Kolej Harun Aminurashid, terraces and bus stop. While behind KUO is palm tree estate.

The features of KUO: 3 rooms per unit, each unit has 2 beds, 2 tables, a cupboard and 4 power points, 2 toilets, a kitchen, and dining table. Since our room is not so nice looking, therefore I don’t want to attach any photos here.

Wi-Fi @ UPSI

Every campus of universities nowadays are wi-fi zone, place where allows students to stay connected to the world of Internet, anytime, anywhere unwired. Make us so convenient in information searching and downloading.

Not surprise if our campus has such service, but the speed of the wireless broadband available in our campus is surprisingly faster than our estimation.

UPSI is using its own dedicated (UPSI act as ISP) Broadband connection, and the speed that I tested is about 14.77 Mbps! And its upload speed is about 11 Mbps Wow! I downloaded Microsoft Windows Vista DVD ISO file, which size is 2.66 GB, in 50 minutes only, at the average transfer rate at 900 Kbps, and the peak is about 1610 Kbps!

Now, we can online in our room in the hostel too, but at a slow speed. However, it’s convenient too, and we don’t need to stay in the campus for logon to the Internet till late.

First Lecture @ UPSI

I attended my very first lesson @ USPI evening yesterday. It was the English of Communication 1 class, which conducted in Taman Universiti, room 24. My English lecturer is a friendly woman. She introduced our lesson and gave us some assignments. We will have a forum which carries 30 marks. So we formed a group to do the preparation for the forum.

After we having our dinner at a Chinese restaurant, we went to Dewan Kuliah M to attend the lecture of Development of the Chinese Education in Malaysia. The lecturer told us a lot of stories… The class finished at 10pm. Later we went back to respective hostels by bus.

SUKSIS interview @ UPSI

What is SUKSIS? SUKSIS is abbreviation of Sukarelawan Siswa, is a uniform body in UPSI, aka Police Cadet in university.

Me and my friends joined this uniform body. But, SUKSIS will selects 35 boys and 35 girls only. So, we must meet the minimum criteria in order to be selected.

During the interview, they measure our body height and weight, ask us some questions, ask us to matching, shout the commands…

SUKSIS is one of 2 extra-curricular uniform body that offer 6 credits (one credit per semester), while others comprise 1 credit only. And, those are selected to join SUKSIS, will be offered to stay in hostel for 3 years. In addition, allowance will given every hour we attend to its activities. It’s awesome! However, it’s a tough activities among others extra-curricular activities in this university, and we cannot give up half way, otherwise all credits will be taken away.

Boys’ Restricted Areas in UPSI Hostel

Since I entered UPSI for my undergraduate programs, I have to stay in hostel for 2 semesters. I stay in Kolej Za’ba at Proton City. 5km away from the main campus.

Kolej Za’ba has 5 blocks of hostels, labeled KZ A, B, C, D and E. Block E is the only block contain boys, and girls too! While others are girls’ hostels. As we know, boys never allowed to enter girls’ areas, right? So, where else the boys can move there? Almost areas has such labeled “ Kawasan Larangan Lelaki”. OMG, I did enter a girl school…

This morning all boys in my block E hostel woke up late. HaHa! After having our breakfast, we go to Auditorim by bus. Giving PTPTN briefing and info about the Ko-Kurikulum…

During recess time, we take photos in front of the Tuanku Bainun Library.

Around 6.30pm, some of boys and girls there go back to respective hometown by bus. While I go back with Song Ang by bus from Tanjung Malim bus stop. We went to bus stop by rental car. I back to KL at 8.30pm and go home by LRT.

Today a bit interesting, because we visited the UPSI Tuanku Bainun Library. That library is so big and nice! 4 storey of wide areas, filled with variety kinds of books, references, multimedia, etc. The facilities available there ate more than expected, eg self-service photostat, PC, Wi-Fi broadband, OPAC (Computer Book Finder),ect.

Later, we also entered to lecture hall to get know our lecturers and our course mates too. We have 4 Chinese lecturers, teaching different subjects of Chinese Education Program. Then, they brief the backgrounds of Chinese Education Program in UPSI. Later, 4 class monitors are chosen, they are 2 girls and 2 boys (Song Ang and Teow Kheng). Actually Xin Yi suggest me to be the class monitor but she pointed the wrong person, so Song Ang accidently became our male class monitor. While Shi Ban pointed Teow Kheng to take the post. HeHe! Our program has 75 students, 14 males, 61 females…

Most of the selected candidates breaking their day by entering to the new environment to start their new lives in respective Universities today.

After I pack the luggage and having my lunch at home, my parents take me to my new home- UPSI, Tanjung Malim, Perak. The trafic is so jammed along the road to the entrance of the UPSI’s hostel- Kolej Kediaman Harun Aminurashid. Despite of the long queue, we finally arrived at Kolej Kediaman Harun Aminurashid aka KHAR. Then, I go check and I found my name in the name list. Unfortunately, that name list listed the name of the students who need to switch to Kolej Kediaman Za’ba aka KZ, which located at Proton City, about 5 km away from the UPSI main campus. So, I have to queue and wait again. I arrive at Tanjung Malim around 1pm, and I successfully registered at 5pm. I waited for 4 hours there…

During the check-in at the Za’ba Hall, I met no friends there but I made new friends, they are Mun Keong from Kuantan, Chee Hong from KL, Song Ang from Johor Bharu, Teow Kheng from Bukit Mertajam… My room mate is Mun Keong, and we stay in Blok E, 1st floor.

Did you know? there are 5 blocks in KZ, Blok A to D is girls’ hostels, and Blok E is boys’ and girls’ hostel. Each block has 5 storeys. Each unit contains 3 rooms, 2 persons in one room. In this intake, about 80%++ of the total students are females, and 95%++ are Malays. Male is rare species in UPSI. However, males are not treated as Panda in China. The only privileges of male are we no need to queue so long while waiting for food distribution and taking bus, hehe! In fact, UPSI is a “girls’ university”.

After lunch, a briefing is held in the hall, brief about the rules and regulations in the KZ.

Michael Jackson, a famous superstar from 80’s and 90’s, passed away yesterday. I was shocked when I heard the news. Pity him, his recent life was unfortunate, and yesterday he suddenly died due to heart attack. I feel sad because I can’t see him dance anymore. His famous signature dance, Moonwalk, is one of my favorite. And the song, Earth Song, is my most favorite too. Really sad that a talent was gone…

Last Day In SJK (C) Kampung Baru Ampang

Yesterday is my last duty day at SJK ( C ) Kampung Baru Ampang aka 安新华小 . All my students and teachers there said good bye to me and wish me good luck in university life. I was so happy because I no need to angry and scold the pupils anymore, but I was sad because I have to leave my cute and naughty students. 6 months in this school, I learnt how to teach, how to control the class and pupils, how to manage a lesson and programs, etc. Besides to get the salary, I got new friends and lots of experiences from there too. I was lucky that I having the opportunity to be a GSTT (Guru Sandaran Tidak Terlatih) aka temporary teacher at this school, and every moment in this schools were sweet and memorable. I hope after I finish the Degree of Chinese Education, I can meet my student again in secondary school in 4 years later.

A Visit to UPSI

I will take Chinese Language with Education Degree Program at UPSI next Sunday. So, my parents bring me there to have a look.

UPSI (University Pendidikan Sultan Idris) is located at Tanjung Malim, Perak, just 1 km away from the Selangor-Perak border, and about 70km from KL.

The university is not really big as I imagine. But the facilities available there are complete. KTM and shuttle bus are available too. Shop lots really a lot, mini mart, stationery shop, restaurants, computer shop, hotel, photostat shop, etc. Very convenient.

不是我要的糖果

人人都爱糖果，因为糖果都是甜甜的。但是，不是所有的口味都受人喜爱。

读了十多年的书，也顺利地进到大学。虽此，我得到的科系却不是我所预料和想要的。虽然以后的目的地还是一样的，但这条路比较曲折难行。

我的人生还算是幸运的。但是很多时候，我得到的，所拥有的，却不是我想要的。可是，我得到的，所拥有的，却是别人所想要的。反而，我会羡慕别人拥有，而我没有的东西。如：我想把我自己赚来的钱用来买笔记型电脑，但最后父母用了这笔钱买了一样很多人想买又买不起的东西——汽车；我想读理科系，却得到我朋友超想拿到的教师课程，而他则拿到我想拿的电脑工程系。

无论是在生活、学业、事业、健康、经济、交际，我都觉得我是比别人幸运的。唯有在感情上，我是蛮倒霉的。我有喜欢兼追求过我真的喜欢的对象，但她们如今大多都有了另一半，而不是我。反而，每次被一位女生婉拒后，我就会认识到几位新的异性朋友。还好咯……嘿嘿！但只要她们开心，我就会为她们开心。因为，喜欢并想追求他人也只不过想对方幸福、开心… 同意吗？

我觉得，老天爷总爱对我开玩笑。喜欢赐我一些我不是很想要的“好东西”和“惊喜”。我唯有无奈又快乐地接受。

Today, 11am, all STPM graduates were both calmly and nervously check their results of UPU aka entrance to IPTA.

Ops, I got a place, but not the one I demanded. I got Ijazah Sarjana Muda Bahasa Cina dengan Pendidikan at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Ildris.

Haiz, OK la. Chinese Language course… hehe. Really out of my expectation, since I never take Chinese in STPM.

Everyone will going to register on 28 June 2009, Sunday. Therefore, all have to prepare themselves within a week. The preparations are truly inconvenient.

Most of my friends got a place in IPTA. Congratulation!

However, some of my friends will go far far places to study. My beloved friends, one go North, 450 km away from KL; and one go East, 1574 km away from her home, and some go near…

I’ll miss you every day , every moment, and always…

Before I’m writing this blog, i was driving, and I almost crash to one car. Because I’m thinking about my friend and my future. Thinking about, “When I can meet my beloved friend?” “How is my life without my best friends around…”

My feeling of this result? Surprised and Satisfy. My friends thought I’m happy with it, she see me laughing loud on the spot, but actually, I don’t seem be “too happy”, only friends are in my mind, thinking: “How bout them?” “Are they got what they want?”

This day really confusing me. I’m seems lost in direction. I’m just like being dropped to an unknown place, and that place seems nice…

Michelle’s Birthday Lunch @ Yaki-Yaki

Michelle will celebrate her 20th birthday! So, we celebrated for her today at Yaki-Yaki Japanese BBQ Restaurant.

I met Michelle and Syn Wei at Syn Wei’s working place afternoon today, then we walked to Low Yat Plaza to meet Lee Kee. We walked around in the plaza. Later, we went to Yaki-Yaki, a Japanese Restaurant which just located beside Low Yat Plaza. And Abigail came later.

We ordered and taken a lot of food, eg: salad, sushi, sashimi, salmon, prawns, oysters… We BBQ-ed them on charcoal stove. Having fun and enjoying the delicious Japanese cuisine. Of course, we never forgot to take photos together.

Erm, one thing that i would like to highlight is, Michelle is really pretty, wearing nice dress… Besides, Syn Wei and Abigail also came with beautiful dress too! They truly attracted my sight. Hehe!

Librarian Gathering @ Times Square

Today, we have a gathering with some retired and current librarians. We (Jiun Ee, Abigail, Vivian, Pei Gin, Sher How, Wai Yih and me) have lunch in Kenny Roger’s Roaster Restaurant. We chat for whole day.

Then we went to take sticker photos aka “Big Head Shot”. We spent an hour just to take 6 photos, really tired. Later, Josh came, and they went for dinner at Gasoline. But i didn’t join them.

Hope we will have such gathering in near future.

3 Thieves intruded my House!!

About 2.30am today, 3 thieves intruded my house. Luckily before they open the door, my mom saw them and shout, then the 3 thieves ran away immediately.

That 3 stupid thieves climb over the wall enter to and exit from my house. Really lucky my mom heard the bark of neigbour’s dog and wake up to see what happen outside. Otherwise, my stuff will be stolen… Or may be we would be harmed. So dangerous!

SO, friends, remember to lock the doors before sleep, put your car remote near your bed! Toggle alarm switch of your car remote if any accident happen.

2 days Tour de “France” and “Japan”

4 June 2009 (Thursday)

My uncle bring my grandmother, his family and my family to Berjaya Hill at Bukit Tinggi, Pahang today. After we have our lunch at Steven Tea Garden in AEON Setiawangsa, we go to Berjaya Hill.The road to Bukit Tinggi is like this alphabet “S”, and there are many “S” turns. Then, we check-in at Berjaya Golf-Club, we stay at Meranti Park Apartment. The apartments there look creepy but feeling nice due to its beautiful garden and forest surrounding there. The apartment are placed at 2600 feet above sea level, so there’s cool. We have a rest in the room, later, we have our dinner in the room. We cook ourselves.

At night, we go to “France” by car. That place is placed about 5km from our apartment. That place is a French themed village which named as “Colmar Tropicale” Colmar is a old French village in France, where “Colmar Tropicale” meant “The Colmar in tropical forest”. It’s place at the hill about 3200 feet above sea level. Bonjour!! The night view of Colmar Tropicale is so nice!! I really feel like I’m in France. Because, the building there is built exactly same as the building in Colmar country house of France. In front of the Colmar Tropicale is “Chateau de Colmar” (Colmar Castle). It’s a grant, castle-like hotel.

We walk along the street, seeing the French shop lots, restaurants and hotels along the street. I went to 6 storey tall bell tower and view the whole scene of the street. Of cause, I have take a lots of photos. Later, we walk to the Colmar Tropicale Square to watch the Chinese acrobatic show. They’re so great!

Colmar Tropicale is a romantic place too! It’s a suitable place for couples to enjoy, to have vacation, have a first night… Erd herm! I mean to have a candle dinner, walk-walk, shopping… HeHe!

5 June 2009 (Friday)

After we have our breakfast, we walk outside the apartment. I take a lot of photos of interesting rare insects and plants. The, we go to Rabbit Park to see rabbits. There’s a lot of cute rabbits, flamingos, donkeys and deer.

Then, we go to Colmar Tropical again. The day view and night view of that place is different. At night, we can’t see the colours and paint of the wall of the buildings. About 11.30 am, we walk to the square to watch a show. Actually it’s the same show which is performed yesterday. However, we watch again. Funny incident happened! The performer asked me to join them on the stage. The asked me to sit into a large pale, and the pale is place on the foots of a performer, and twist. Feeling nervous but exciting.

After we have lunch in our room, we go to “Japan” by shuttle bus. Yokoso!! The place is called as “Japanese Tea House”. Koreiwa nani desu ka? Hai! It’s a garden with trees, small river and Tatami house. We can learn Japanese Tea Culture there too(RM20 to learn). There have a Tatami Spa and Tatami suites, but no admittance unless we do booking. This place of interest is placed at the highest point of the Berjaya Hill (3500 feet above sea level). I suggest not to drive there by your car, the gradient of road to Japanese Tea House is more than 45 degree.

Hwa Lin’s Farewell Lunch @ Pavilion

Hwa Lin, one of our clever girl from Mori 2008 is leaving to MMU Malacca this Sunday to pursuing her Law Degree Program for 4 years. So, she invited us ( Pei Gin, Abigail, Choi Sine, Shet Teng, Jingyi and me) to have a mini gathering at Pavilion.

Abigail, Jingyi and Shet Teng reach Pavilion at 12pm, and I bring Hwa Lin to Pavilion at 12.30pm, and Pei Gin arrived at 2pm. (Choi Sine is already there as she’s working at Padini Concept Store)

We had our lunch at Pizza Hut and we ordered a large Thai Seafood and a regular Hawaiian Tuna. Taste nice. Then we just kept talking about our previous school life, our jobs, funny things…

Later, we just walk around… Before we went back, we met Syn Wei, she gave Hwa Lin a cute key chain, and gave me stamps, haha I like it!

We have a wonderful time today. We don’t know when we can have such gathering in future, but at least we could remember each others so that our FriendShip will not sink forever.

A Big Joke !

USM had make a big joke to 4574 candidates last Friday.

Means USM informed them that they are chosen to enter USM, but later failed them on the next day.

On the next day after they being informed and confirmed, USM said sorry and apologized that they had encounter technical errors and said the 4574 candidates are actually not in the list. So, the 4574 candidates are happy for one day only. Most of them were initially chosen for high rank courses, eg: Doktor Perubatan, Doktor Pergigian, Akauntan, Kejuruteraan, etc…

One of the victim is my best friend. I think she is so disappointed and angry. I’m sad too as I can feel her sadness.

They are so disappointed and angry, because they felt they being fooled. They blamed USM, and USM blamed the computer. So, who is going to take the responsibility? It’s a shame for so-called Apex Universities.

And, where are the 4574 should go next? Wait for UPU lo. The the road and dream to USM is ended.

After school yesterday, I went to Times Square to join Zhi Wang’s party at Neway. Before I went there, i went to McD Kotaraya to meet Vivian. Then we go there by bus.

8 of us ( Zhi Wang, Chern Chiang, Wai Kit, Siow, Hanna, Robson, Vivian and me) joined the karaoke party. We enjoyed sing songs loud and felt high when singing “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing – Aerosmith”. We sang many nice songs, from 1 to 5pm.

Later, we had our dinner at Old Town Cafe. Had a long chat… We met Jingyi and her Clansy school mates too.

I went back by Chern Chiang’s car, together with Zhi Wang and Robson. We looked for the car in the car park for few minutes, lol.

My “dream car” just arrived yesterday. It’s a small and cute car.

OK lo, it has four wheels, four seats, four doors, 1000cc engine, automatic gear transmission, power steering, Pioneer car audio system… The only missing features are no airbag, no spotlight, no roof window, no GPS and no turbo engine.

What’s the car actually?? It is… Perodua Kelisa

haha! I like it because it’s look like Mini Cooper.

Hope my parents allow me to use this car. Travel anytime and anyway I like, no more taking LRT, bus or taxi. Can bring along my friends and girlfriends too, hehe. No more headache of no transport.

MEdSI interview @ UM

I went to Universiti Malaya last Tuesday to attend an interview for MEdSI. The interview began at 9.00am, but I reached there around 7.30am.

About 50++ candidates attended the interview, mostly Malay girls, about 30++ peoples, then about 10 Malay boys, 2 Indian girl, one Chinese girl and one Chinese boy (That’s me).

We waited for our turn in a lecture hall at Faculty of Education. Then I talked with other male candidates. I met a Malay candidate who came from Ipoh, he is a mix, look like European. He wanted to take TOESL (His English is super good, Band 6 in MUET)

My turn was taken at 11.30am. I entered into the room calmly. 3 interviewers sitting about 3 meters in front of my chair. The interview began with my introduction. Then they asked me about my co-curricular activities, etc.

The final part is the worst time for me. They wanted me to demonstrate how to teach the student. They gave me a title regarded to science, because I applying for Pendidikan Dengan Sains. The title is “Reproduction”. I was so nervous because I forgot many information about that topic. So, I just simply describe the simple part of that topic.

The interview took about 10 minutes per candidates. But then 10 minutes could decide whether we are capable to teach or taking this course. I worrying that I will be failed, but I just hope I can pass it to fulfill my dream to enter the university.

Unlucky Teacher’s Day

Today is my first time to celebrate Teacher’s Day. However, I’m not so happy today.

This morning I accidently fall into 3 feet deep hole in the audio control room. Later, the celebration is started. After singing the school song, Negaraku and speeches from Ministry of Education, it’s time to welcome our headmistress to deliver her speech. This time, every teacher starts to whispering and feel uncomfortable. Why? Can you imaging teachers are “scolded” and complained in front of the students in the school hall during Teacher’s Day Celebration? Oh my God! It was happened this morning! And this celebration is !$%^&*. I’ve never seen this since kindergarten … A Malay teacher said, “Happy Teacher’s Day pun tak happy la.”

After the so-called celebration, we went back to the staff room. Then, I received 2 plastic flowers from twin sisters. I saw other teachers received so many gifts and flowers, may be they are good teachers.

Later, 2 class monitors called me to enter their class. At the corridor, I saw another teacher holding a lot of flowers, then the kepoh class monitor said, “Mr. Tan, you jealous ar?” “You didn't give me ma” I said. “Oh, headmistress asked us not to waste money to buy flowers wo” she said. Arrr! Excuses! HeHe! I didn’t angry with them, because for me, if they want to appreciate me, they should be more obedient and hardworking.

Rest In Peace, My Aunt...

My elder aunt was pass away last week, cause by 4th phase lung cancer.
So, I went back to Pulau Pinang last friday for her funeral. Everyone is sad.
The funeral is simple, and took 3 days. Everyone is crying while her body is sent for cremation.

My second hobby is collect old newspapers, magazines and books.

For sales? For donation? For recycle? Not at all, just like you all like to collect antiques or stamps… But for me, old newspapers, magazines and any printed materials are my treasures.

The contents of the old newspapers and magazines may be are outdated, but they representing a period of time, in terms of news, advertisements and pictures. I love memories. I like to look back what were happening last time, whether I’d experience or didn’t. In other word, I like history.

It’s difficult to get real antiques or archived documents, but I can get their essences by collecting regarding articles from newspapers or printed materials. Besides, collecting books is actually collecting knowledge and ideas. I would like to discover and seek for primitive ideas of the famous scientist, as well as primitive theories, concepts and methodology in their initial inventions, works or discoveries.

I’m a operating system collector. My hobby is to collect old and latest operating system (OS). I collected about 15 titles of operating systems.

My collections are:

Windows 1.0, Windows 2.0, Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows XP (sp1, sp2, sp3)

4. Apple Macintosh

System 6.0.8, Mac OS X 10.3 Panther

SO, I have collected 4 kinds, 15 titles of operating systems, within 5 years. And my oldest software that i collected is Windows 1.0 which created in year 1985, it's now 24 years old. My record is 7 operating systems (MS-DOS 7.2, Windows 1.0, Windows 3.11, Windows XP, Ubuntu and MAC OS X) are installed in one computer, all run natively (mean boot and run), except Mac OS is run via PearPC POWERPC emulator (run under Windows XP), and Windows 1.0 is run from 3.5” floppy disk.

Currently my computer has 4 operating system installed, they are Windows XP sp3, and another 3 are installed within a Virtual PC 2007 sp1, the 3 are MS-DOS 6.22, Windows 3.11 and Windows 95.

When my computer has a serious problem or critical errors make my PC cannot load into the Windows XP, my USB Slax 6.0.9 may help me. It boots directly from my USB drive, then access my computer and make necessary backup or delete malicious virus. It’s very compact, useful, convenient and portable.

You may ask me why I like to collect all these, I can answer you:

Yesterday I went to aunt’s house at Puncak Jalil to have steamboat dinner. Lot of foods and people there. My grandmother, uncles, aunt, my uncle’s friends,and my family enjoyed the steamboat yesterday.

Haha, I got a new friend too. He is my uncle’s friend, and he is German. He came from a small village in Germany and he travels here for 2 weeks. His name is Mr…. (I don’t know actually) and he is a anesthesiologist. We talked a lot about mine and his culture. I learnt some Deutsch, like:

Labour Day Outing @ Sunway Pyramid

Yesterday was 1st of May, aka Labour Day.

Since we ( Soon Cheng, Sze Yuen and Me) just received our 4 months salary, we decide to have fun at Sunway Pyramid for whole day.

We went there by Soon Cheng’s car at 11.30 O’clock. Initially we wanted to go for ice-skating, but bit expensive and there were a lots of peoples. Then, we went to bowling alleys to have an hour plays. This was my first time to play bowling. However, I learnt by looking at other peoples, and i got 3 strike and a spare, haha! Soon Cheng won the 1st game, and I won the second game. Later, we played archery. 23 shots per person. It’s my first time to play this sport game too.

About 2pm, we went to TGI Friday restaurant to have lunch. Wow, the foods are so expensive. But the food there are very delicious and looks nice. We 3 persons just order 2 pax, but already cost us RM136.30.

Later, we walked around the mall, search for fashionable clothes. They bought some shirts too. We also entered to a rock styles boutique, and we asked Sze Yuen to try a cute dress, she tried it and shows us. HaHa!! Looks funny but very cute and pretty. (Cause the slim cut of that dress unveiled her actual body shape, HaHa!!) Unfortunately, I didn’t took her photo because it’s not allowed by the shopkeeper (wasted). Before we go out, we entered to Machine, an Apple Authorized Reseller. We played iMac,MacBook,iPod Touch, and my dream phone -Apple iPhone 3G.

Around 7.30pm, we moved out from the mall, and walked to the Sunway Hotel. The night view and lights of the buildings and the hotel was so beautiful. We took some photos there. It’s our 1st time to take photos together. We enjoyed and have fun for whole day, hope we can have outing again soon.

Karnival Kampung Baru Ampang

Yesterday was a great day because SJK(C ) Kampung Baru Ampang (AnXin Primary School) held the Karnival Kampung Baru Ampang, in conjunction with 60th anniversary of Chinese Kampung Baru. Lots of stalls selling foods, drinks, and games.

This day I and a few teachers together with a few graduated students to look after the Haunted House. The Haunted House became more scary when a few “ghosts” and horrifying sound effect are placed there.

The event was started at 8.00 am. Few thousands of students and their parents, and outsiders joined this carnival. The hotspot was our Haunted House. Estimated about a thousand of visits into the Haunted House. We were busy bringing the children walk around the house, and the number of times we enter and exit the house is uncountable. The children and teenagers kept screaming, shouting and even crying when they being scared by the ugly “ghost” and the terribly dark surrounding.

Too much of customers or visitors is not a good sign sometimes. An unhappy incident happened yesterday is the long queue was out of control. Some of the stupid teenagers and children cut the queue, and parents kept argue and complain me, said I only scold children but not to teenagers. I had scold them too, but the parents did not see, then simply complain me with unfriendly manner. If the parents like to scold us, why not they scold the one who cut the queue.

The event end at 2.00pm, and it was a big success. Wait, the event was end but the celebration is not end yet.

At night, about 7.00pm, a grand dinner was held in AnXin School Hall. More that 50 tables I estimated. Besides, there having a golden melody karaoke singing contest. Only a few teachers joined the dinner. I helped Miss Sandra sell newspapers and Carlsberg Beers, then we went for dinner. Hey, our carnival’s photos and news were published on Nan yang Siang Pao.

It was a great and meaningful day for me and also for the school because our school collected a grant amount of donation, and I learnt a lots of new things, like to construct a Haunted House, HaHa!

Setup Haunted House @ AnXin

AnXin Primary school will having a carnival on this Sunday (26 April). This carnival is sponsored by Nan Yang Siang Pao and the intention is to celebrate 60th aniversary of Chinese Kampung Baru (华人新村).

SO, there will have lots of foods and games. Me, Zhi Hao, Miss Leong, Shuet Fen and a few students are in charge of setting up the Haunted House. The Haunted House is located at 2 class rooms: 3F and 3G. We asked 5 semangatful MBS boys/rover scouts to help us, they are Chung Seong, Seck Wei, Kar Wai, Voon Keong and Chia Way.

We started our work at 1.30 pm yesterday. First, we arranged the tables, then we pasted the news papers on the wall, to cover the windows. Later, we tied up all the tables, put the curtains to cover the tables… (Kami buat kerja sambil main-main).

Due to our IDE+SATA feature (Intelligence, Dedication, Efficiency +Superb Abilities and TAlent), We did our job quick and pretty good. We finished partially at 8.00pm.

Me and a few teachers continue the work today. And we finished 98% at 3.00pm. Overall, not bad! The rooms are “absolute dark” , the path like a maze, and a bit scary too. We all satisfy with our efforts.

Earth Day

22 April is International Earth Day.

Nothing to celebrate, but it’s a day to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth’s environment.

Recently, pollution on our blue planet become worse and serious, due to unstoppable human activities and countries’ developments.

We have no choice to suffer these, but we can take measures and steps to prevent further pollution in our area, our home. Remember 3R? Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

Reduce usage of environmental unfriendly materials like plastic. Reuse something like blank papers,boxes, tin can, etc. Recycle newspapers, old book and magazines, aluminum cans, etc.

SO, PLEASE! Love our Earth. Our Only Home.

MEdSI + MUnsyI

Today i sit for 2 tests, MEdSI and MUnsyI test.

MEdSI (Malaysian Educators Selection Inventory) is a test which is compulsory for those who like to become a teacher, and MUnsyI (Malaysian University Selection Inventory) is a test hosted by University Sains Malaysia, which is compulsory for those want to enter USM.

i took MEdSI at SMK Cochrane from 9 to 10am, alone.

Then, I rushed to SMK Kiara Mas to take MUnsyI test, from 11 to 12pm, together with my ex-schoolmates, they are Michelle, JingYi, Pei Gin, Vijay, Nicholas, Wing Kuan, Su Teng, Woei An, Lai Wah, Sok Poh, Albert… and my colleague Shuet Fen.

MEdSI, 300 questions in 1 hour, and MUnsyI, 310 questions in 1 hour. All questions are asking about ourselves and opinions, just answer “Yes or No”, “Agree or Disagree” and “Like or Dislike”.

I just hope I can pass the MEdSI test and call me for an interview. USM’s MUnsyI test is not difficult, but they will just select 3500 candidates from 26000 candidates, so difficult.

Combined Boards’ Day 2009 @ MBSSKL

This’ an annual event which planned and hosted by cooperation between Prefectorial Board, Board of Student Librarian, Board of IT Brigade and Sportsmen Board. This year is the 19th year of having such function in our school. We’ll invite prefects and librarians from other schools to join our event, as a gathering and having fun to interact each others.

I went back to MBS as a guest of this event yesterday. Only a few old boys attended this function, they are Zhi Hao, Alexander, Vivian, Kuan Nien…

Performance, my comment is: NOT BAD WO!!

In fact, the performance are unlike previous years, the performances are done together by 3 boards. Interesting, meaningful and funny. There are sketches, band, and dances. (I like the Doraemon Dance, Break Dance and sketches)

I like the sketch because of it’s funny and meaningful scenes. The summary of this sketch is:

-If the school has no prefect, what will happen? The students’ disciplines will be out of control, so we need prefects.

-If the school has no librarian, what will happen? The students will not have a better, comfortable, and quiet place for them to do their revision and discussion. And they will find difficult to get their demanded reference books too. So librarian is important.

-If the school has no IT Brigade, what will happen? By the time teachers or students face IT difficulties, computers stop responding, can’t access internet, and need of installing some hardware, then IT brigades may assist them. Besides, IT Brigades also responsible for the cleanliness of both “inside” and “outside” the computers. So, IT Brigades cannot be ignored too.

Many schools are invited, but I didn’t see our neighbour schools attended… However, there many board members attended and enjoyed the event.

The Combined Boards’ Day 2009 was a successful event, interesting, funny… Compare with CBD 2008, CBD 2009 has improvement! The booklet is nice, small, compact and environmental friendly (9 pages in a piece of A4 paper). Last but not least, this event had show the cooperation between 4 boards in our school, thanks God that they had done better, and I hope this function can be done better and better from year to year so that more board members from other schools attend and recognize this annual traditional event of MBSSKL.

I am sooooo angry today.

Who make angry today? ------> my students lo!

These days god knows why my students became so stubborn and lazy. More than 1/2 students in class had not done their homework well and complete. I spent 45 minutes in my lesson time just to scold them one by one. I need not to scold them actually, because i can choose to cane them. But i never did that before, even I wouldn’t do that in future.

I just hope the students can change their bad habits and do something that will not disappoint me.

Syn Wei’s Birthday Lunch @ Pavilion

Syn Wei’s birthday is on Thursday, but celebrated on Saturday.

After school, I quickly rushed to LRT station because I promised her to meet her at her office on 1.30 pm, but i was late for 30 minutes.. (sorry ar Syn Wei, next time i’ll be punctual)

I met Syn Wei and her friends at Old Town Cafe, and Ariel, Abigail, Michelle and Yi Kwan came later. Then, I give her the birthday gift. Haha! It’s “Twilight”. But, it’s Abigail’s book. So, she hit me and I kept laughing. Later, I give her the actual gift, it’s … (Secret). I think Syn Wei loves it very much (Right? Syn Wei, hehe!)

We had lunch and talks for hours at Old Town Cafe, then we walk around in the complex. We also took photos.

PC Fair 2009 (II) @ KLCC

PC Fair 2009 (II) is held on 10 ~ 12 April 2009 @ KLCC.

I went there on Friday, 1st day of the exhibition.

After school, Ariel suddenly asked me to visit the fair, so i agreed and take LRT to go there.

Lots of people there. It’s so crowd and the number of visitors is more than what are exhibited there.

Lots of IT stuffs too. Thumbdrives, Notebooks, MP3 players, accessories… No cheap lo! a bit expensive than what i found @ Lowyat .

However, one things that i enjoyed there and I want to highlight is, the girls who give out brochures are very sexy and pretty. And my journey to PC Fair is not a waste, HaHa! But I swear that I never stared at them because a friend is beside me, hehe!(wasted…)

I didn’t buy anything from there, as i mentioned earlier (not cheap at all), where Ariel bought micro USB drives.

Another thing, there are lot of “ushers” They are StreamyX and P1 WiMax promoters, more than 100 persons i guess.

Conclusion:

Pros: Lots of Lenglui promoters, latest stuff can be found there

Cons:The fair are not interesting at all, promoters more that IT stuffs,

Qing Ming Festival 清明节

Yesterday was Qing Ming Festival. Most of the Chinese went back to their respective hometown to honour the ancestors at cemeteries.

So, actually this year is my 1st time to go to cemetery to honour my Great grandmother and my grandmother. Cause the cemetery located very far away from my home. My family worried that there might crowdy so we went there at 6.30am. OMG, i’d never go to the cemetery while sky still dark before. We prepared a “trillions dolars” of paper golds and “banknotes” for burning, so that my ancestors could receive it. We also prepared a lots of foods.

I saw something surprised me on my grandmother’s tomb. My name is there! HaHa!

Indeed, it’s time for our big family to gather together and to honour my ancestors, so that their contribution to our family will be remembered forever…

Their magical tools are their “cameras”!

Amazingly and surprisingly, they could transform an ordinary scene to be an extraordinary view, and made the actual elements disappear… HOW???

Depend on viewers’ emotions and sense of art, the photographs are not only captured the scenes through the lens, films or CCDs, but they could capture viewers’ feeling. The kind of feeling cannot be described as word , but you can feel it while you see the photographs.

Different angle of views, you’ll see different scenes, and there will have different meanings. A same thing, it might have different views and comments from people.

Gotong Royong @ AnXin Primary School

AnXin Primary School had a gotong-royong last Saturday.

Every students and teachers took part to clean the school.

Me and a few young teachers were in charge the toilets. I in charge the male teachers’ washroom. Every teacher will have 3 students to help, but i don’t have…

In the first 30 minutes, I cleaned the washroom alone. Then I tak tahan already, so I asked (force) 3 boys to help me. These boys are my favorite students, they like to do such jobs instead of doing my homework, haha!)

Gotong-royong should be end at 11 O’clock, but we finished around 9.30am. Nothing to do already. So, we mess up the washroom and clean again.

We finished around 10.30am, then i went back to staff room. I saw all the teachers were resting there and chit-chating there. Haha, i supposed not to mess up and do that again. However, I think that washroom is the cleanest among the rooms in school.

After school today (AnXin Primary school),

I rushed to MBS to meet Vivian then to meet Ariel at McD.

(actually I have date with Ariel to pass her something)

At the staff room, actually I wanted to meet Vivian first, but i my teachers who taught me before: my MUET teacher Mrs.Yap, Chinese Language teacher Pn.Chong, and my favorite Math T teacher Pn.Low saw me, so i’m “pulled” for a “short talk” with my teachers (talk awhile only, around 40 minutes)

Mrs.Yap asked me to help her to convert the cassettes to CD, she passed me 6 cassettes which bundled with story books. (All are classical stories like Dr Jekyll and Mr.Hyde, bla bla bla) I’m paid to do, hehe)

Before I met Vivian, I have a serious matter to discuss with Pn.Low, about the path to be a teacher. I got a lots of useful tips from her (Thank You Pn.Low)

The talk with Pn.Low ended when Ariel sms me. Ops! She is waiting me at McD already (I suppose to wait her there, I was late, sorry ah Ariel, hehe!)

So, at last, I have no time to meet Vivian, haha! (Sorry ah Vivian)

Later, I rushed to McD. It was raining and I have no umbrella (never mind, I’m waterproof). Finally met Ariel! We had lunch there, talk, visit popular bookshop…

I feel happy of having opportunity again to help my teacher and MBS even I’m graduated. I promise I’ll go back to MBS frequently and give a hand to school whenever they need. I’m proud of being an MBS student, so I’ll still serve for school in future.

I’m the one who feel disappointed lo…

What happened next?

every STPM cert holders are looking for suitable or favorite degree courses and Uni lo…

I choose all the cold, unpopular courses, and far far away from hometown.

However, i choose a professional course as my 1st and 2nd choice, that is….
